IT News on October 8th: Google Cloud announced today at its press conference in Gemini, at, and Work in 2026 that it is launching an Gemini intelligent agent ( Gemini Agent) for enterprise customers. This product is positioned as a "general-purpose work intelligent agent" and supports Gemini Enterprise, Workspace, as well as third-party services.

Google stated that Gemini Agent only requires the user to provide a goal in order to complete tasks, and it is capable of answering questions, handling knowledge-based work, creating media content, as well as writing programs.

For example, when your manager asks you to report the latest progress of a project via email (PPT), Workspace Intelligence will assume that this task can be completed by AI. Users only need to click a button to hand it over to Gemini to continue working on it.

In addition to serving as a personal assistant, the Gemini intelligent entity can also be used as a "team member." It can take on roles such as PM and financial analyst within a team.

IT Home has noticed that currently, this agent supports Gemini and Claude models, and in the future, it will also be compatible with various closed-source and open-source models. The official will provide API, allowing developers to integrate Gemini Agent into third-party applications.

Gemini The intelligent entity is currently in the private preview phase and is expected to be widely available to eligible Workspace customers soon, supporting some Business and Enterprise solutions.
