Washington and Perth, Australia, October 12, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- American Global Strategies LLC ( AGS ) and Julie Bishop & Partners ( JBP ) today announced the establishment of a strategic alliance to integrate their expertise in geo-political consulting, government policy, international business, and strategic communications in the United States, Australia, and the broader Indo-Pacific region.

The alliance will provide strategic guidance to corporate executives. As geopolitical changes, national security priorities, government policies, and investment considerations increasingly influence business decisions in the region, the two companies will combine their respective experiences and regional perspectives, which is particularly applicable to enterprises operating in strategically important industries such as mining and key minerals, energy, defense, and technology.

AGS was co-founded by Ambassador Robert C . O' Brien and Alexander B . Gray. O' Brien served as the United States National Security Advisor from 2019 to 2021; Gray formerly held the position of Principal Deputy Director for National Security Affairs at the White House National Security Council and was also the first director responsible for Oceania and Indo-Pacific security affairs within that council. Headquartered in Washington, AGS provides consulting services to corporate executives to help them navigate geopolitical, national security, economic security, and government policy changes that affect global business.

Julie Bishop & Partners Founder and Head. Julie Bishop served as the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2013 to 2018 and was the first woman to hold that position. During her tenure, she led Australia's international relations in the critical Indo-Pacific region and played a central role in Australia's foreign policy and strategic relations with the United States. In 2017, during her term, Australia released the "Foreign Policy White Paper" which established a framework for advancing Australia's security and prosperity in the increasingly competitive Indo-Pacific region.

“Julie Bishop is one of the most respected leaders in the field of international affairs. She brings exceptional judgment, as well as a profound understanding of the geopolitical and economic dynamics in the Indo-Pacific region,” said Robert C O', Chairman of American Global Strategies. “Australia is one of the United States' closest allies, and both countries have significant strategic and economic interests in that region. We are delighted to collaborate with Julie and her team, and look forward to combining the experiences and perspectives of both companies to support our clients in making critical decisions in these markets.”

"Today, business is increasingly operating in an environment where geopolitics, national security, and economic policies can no longer be separated from business decisions," said Julie Bishop, founder of Julie Bishop & Partners. "This alliance brings together outstanding strategic insights from the United States and Australia, including the rich experience of Ambassador Brien as well as the professional capabilities of the entire team at AGS, to provide customers with solutions to address current challenges and to gain a deeper understanding of the forces that shape U.S.-Australian relations and the broader Indo-Pacific region."

This strategic alliance reflects the growing importance of U.S.-Australian relations for companies operating in the Indo-Pacific region. As policy decisions made by Washington and Canberra increasingly impact investment, supply chains, key minerals, emerging technologies, energy security, and defense priorities, AGS and JBP will jointly provide informed strategic guidance to clients in both markets.

Morgan Stanley Wilson: The bond market is already raising interest rates on behalf of the Fed; for a rebound in U.S. stocks, look for two key signals
Morgan Stanley's chief equity strategist Mike Wilson stated that the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds has risen by 120 basis points since February, and the bond market is essentially already doing the Fed's job of tightening. If CPI this week remains modest, it could help ease the pressure on long-term yields; he suggests paying attention to the relative performance of the MOVE index and financial stocks, especially the third-quarter earnings reports of JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citibank, and Wells Fargo this week.

Will demand start to come under pressure after Apple raises the price of iPhone?
According to Nikkei Asia, Apple has requested some suppliers to reduce the production of Pro and iPhone related components by 18%, due to the rising costs of memory chips, which may be putting to the test consumers' willingness to pay for high-end smartphones. This year, Apple only launched high-end models in the fall and postponed the release of the standard version of iPhone until spring 2027.
