Uday Rudaraju (Uday Ruddarraju) will take his place. Sources revealed that after leaving his position, Katti is expected to continue working as a consultant and maintain cooperation with the company.

IT Home Query Public Information: In November 2025, Kati transferred from Intel Corporation ( Intel ) to OpenAI. During her tenure, she led the ambitious "Stargate" ( Stargate ) data center project and successfully established cooperation on computing resources with major suppliers such as SoftBank, Oracle, and Amazon ( AWS ).

The replacement is Rudalajhu, who was promoted to Chief Technology Officer of Computing Capacity with the title OpenAI earlier this summer. He joined OpenAI in July 2025 and previously served as the head of infrastructure engineering at xAI, an artificial intelligence company under Elon Musk.

Kati's departure is the latest in a recent wave of senior executive resignations at OpenAI. In just the past few months, the company has seen the departure of several key executives, including product and business leader Fige Simo (Fidji Simo), senior executive Brad Lichtkopf (Brad Lightcap), revenue manager Denise Dreher (Denise Dresser), and the head of the security system team, David Robinson (David Robinson).

In this regard, Greg Brockman ( Greg Brockman ), the president of OpenAI, once stated that since the company is under the spotlight, every departure is subject to unprecedentedly strict scrutiny. However, he believes that such diversity and resilience among management will actually make the company stronger.
