In January 2025, LG launched a new generation of esports monitors, the LG UltraGear 27G850A, which is also the first 4K 240Hz IPS Black monitor.

It features a 27-inch sixth-generation Nano IPS Black panel, has passed the VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, and supports dual-mode switching between 3840x2160@240 Hz and 1920x1080@480 Hz.

This monitor has a brightness of 670 nits, a response time of 1ms, a static contrast ratio of 2000:1, supports native 10-bit color display, and covers 100% sRGB, 99% Adobe RGB, and 86.6% DCI-P3 color gamuts.

IT Home has noted that this monitor has also passed the VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification and supports NVIDIA G - SYNC Compatible, AMD FreeSyncTM PremiumPro, VESA, certified, and AdaptiveSync.
