WESTPORT, Conn. On October 15th / PRNewswire -- Permanent Capital Company, supported by the Bitcoin Treasury ORANGE JUICE ( www.orangejuice.com ), announced today that Elias Martinez Cohen has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer.
The company stated that Martinez Cohen will establish and lead a central technical team to provide services for each enterprise acquired by ORANGE JUICE, helping small and medium-sized companies to obtain engineering and AI capabilities that are typically only available to larger enterprises.
Martinez Cohen has served as a senior system software engineer for staff-level at NVIDIA for nearly eight years, responsible for building the data pipelines and workflow platforms behind autonomous driving projects. He led the AI storage platform team for that project, helping to double the capacity of the AI work queue and reducing the time required for data ingestion by an order of magnitude.
Since 2013, he has been engaged in AI related work. At that time, he joined Madbits, a deep learning startup co-founded by Cl, ment, and Farabet. He currently serves as the Vice President of Research at Google DeepMind. In 2014, Madbits was acquired and reorganized into Twitter Cortex – its AI team. Back then, he worked with a small specialized team to help build the core machine learning platform for Twitter. His former colleagues are now engaged in AI system development at Google DeepMind, OpenAI, and Anthropic.
Martinez Cohen indicates that "what is technically feasible today has already far surpassed the level actually used by most enterprises, and this gap continues to widen. Holding companies can narrow this gap because one technical team can serve multiple enterprises, and each success makes the cost of the next success even lower. We are not here to automate people; what we want to do is to eliminate those tedious and repetitive tasks."
ORANGE JUICE Operational Partner Ruben Zweiban states: "Business owners should not face AI transformation alone. Founders who join us can gain Elias capabilities and professional knowledge from day one, without losing their identity as the founders of their businesses."
The company stated that since ORANGE JUICE acquires enterprises with good existing economic performance and there is never a need to sell these enterprises, it regards technology as an incremental source of revenue and can invest in it over the long term.
