IGEL Appoints Randy Reznic, a leading figure in the field of zero trust in the United States, to advance the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform strategy
Randy Reznic, who formerly served as a senior cybersecurity executive at the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Security Agency, will bring nearly four decades of experience in technical leadership and task execution to the advancement of zero trust, network resilience, artificial intelligence, and multi-domain governance at IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform ( IASEP ), targeting government departments and key industries around the world.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, October 16, 2026 / PRNewswire / — Global software company IGEL announced that Randy Reznic, a recognized leader and architect in zero trust security, has joined IGEL as the Chief Technology Officer for governments and key industries.
According to IGEL, Reznic has nearly forty years of leadership experience in the fields of technology, network security, and software, including tenure at the U.S. Department of Defense ( DoD ) and the National Security Agency ( NSA ). Recently, he has served as a senior advisor and director of the Zero Trust Project Office at the U.S. Department of Defense, leading the development, coordination, and implementation of zero trust frameworks in one of the largest and most complex technical environments globally.
According to IGEL, Reznic is the author of the U.S. Department of Defense's initial Zero Trust strategy and was involved in developing the Zero Trust reference architecture, maturity model, innovation labs, and independent assessment methods for the Department of Defense and national security systems. The company states that his work has helped transform Zero Trust from a theoretical concept into an executable national defense strategy. Prior to this, Reznic worked at the National Security Agency (NSA) for over 34 years, holding various senior technical leadership positions, including as the head of Zero Trust strategy, director of cybersecurity innovation, chief of information assurance, and the first head of the "Red Team" at NSA. He received the 2024 Wash100 award and was named one of the 50 Cybersecurity Visionaries of 2024 by CyberScoop.
IGEL CEO Klaus Ostmann ( Klaus Oestermann ) stated: "Randy has gained international recognition for his leadership in the field of zero trust, but more importantly, as a consultant to IGEL customers and partners, he is able to bring transformative cybersecurity concepts from the strategic and architectural levels to project design and operational implementation. This combination of technical vision, leadership, and execution fits perfectly with IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform's advancement to the next stage of market promotion."
Linking national security systems with critical commercial infrastructure
IGEL indicates that Reznic's transition from a position responsible for zero trust in the defense sector to a leading enterprise in the commercial market reflects the strong validation of the IGEL platformization approach by the market. IGEL is driving IASEP to solve problems in enterprise edge scenarios, where IT, OT, cloud, applications, containers, open-source technologies, artificial intelligence, and users intersect. This platform combines the control layer, data layer, and execution layer, enabling organizations to implement policies, establish credible deployment systems, and generate governance evidence for different workloads.
The company stated that Reznic will help to expand these capabilities, transforming national security-level frameworks directly into architectures that are suitable for critical commercial infrastructure and government departments, and have been proven in actual combat. These architectures will cover areas such as financial services, healthcare, transportation, energy, and public utilities. His responsibilities will also extend to international markets, including NATO and the "Five Eyes" countries, as well as Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the Middle East region.
Reznic stated: “IASEP gives us the opportunity to apply these experiences more broadly and securely to the edge of enterprises, unifying trust, resilience, and governance into IT, OT, and new types of workloads within an architecture that organizations can easily implement at the desired scale.”
IGEL John Walsh, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of the government and key industries ( John Walsh ), added: "I have known Randy for many years due to his work in NSA, and later I saw how he led the development and implementation of the U.S. Department of Defense's zero-trust strategy. I fully trust Randy's technical leadership, project discipline, and his ability to transform transformative concepts into large-scale operational capabilities."
Through ecosystem expansion architecture
IGEL indicates that Reznic's responsibilities will include working closely with customers, as well as product, engineering, partner, and marketing teams to transform the needs of governments and key industries into replicable platform capabilities. This work will also be integrated with the IGEL Ready ecosystem, connecting IASEP with technical partners in the fields of chips, identity, secure networks, SASE / SSE, cloud, virtualization, and artificial intelligence. The company states that these efforts will support the achievement of increasingly complex security and operational outcomes, covering aspects such as identity, segmentation, compliance, connectivity through workload isolation, context policies, observability, resilience, and governance.
About IGEL
IGEL is an international software company that provides IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform, which is a reliable and centrally manageable terminal platform for secure access to cloud environments, VDI, DaaS, SaaS, secure browsers, enterprise applications, as well as operational technology (OT) terminal devices.
The company stated that the platform is based on IGEL OS. IGEL OS is an operating system that adopts an immutable architecture, which can help reduce the attack surface of endpoints, maintain endpoints in a known good and secure state, and provide secure access in distributed work environments. With the help of IGEL Preventative Security Model, the platform ensures that endpoint protection complies with zero trust principles as well as the SSE / SASE architecture of IGEL Ready's main partners through verified workload delivery, centralized management, and context-based policy enforcement.
IGEL Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BC & DR) solutions can help organizations restore secure access after their Windows terminals are affected by ransomware, other cyberattacks, or failures. IGEL was founded in 2001, with headquarters in Germany, and has offices in San Francisco and Fort Lauderdale in the United States. The company states that its ecosystem collaboration covers 130 leading technology brands. For more information, please visit www.igel.com.
