News from IT on October 16th: As a special product to celebrate MSI's 40th anniversary, the Shadow 16 Demon Dragon Princess Limited Edition integrates the 2D IP "Demon Dragon Princess" design into the traditional gaming laptop. By replacing the common black body with a nebula-like white color, this high-performance machine gains a touch of freshness and personality.

Currently, the home of IT has obtained this new special gaming laptop – the Shenying 16 Demon Dragon Princess Interstellar Set 2026.

It is worth mentioning that this time, the IT family not only received the laptop itself but also headphones, a mouse, and a mouse pad with the same theme. From the laptop body to the peripherals, the entire set of equipment incorporates design elements of the Demon Dragon Princess, maintaining a unified visual style.

In terms of design, the MSI Ghost 16 Demon Dragon Princess Limited Edition features a nebula white color scheme, and integrates MSI's own 2D character IP "Demon Dragon Princess" into the overall design. The front side of the case is covered with a white panel, with the MSI Dragon Shield Logo arranged on the right side. The surface's iridescent pearl luster coating exhibits subtle variations in color depending on the light and viewing angle, adding a sense of depth to the otherwise pure white casing.

The overall lines still retain the robustness that a game should have, while the nebula white color scheme softens the sharpness of traditional esports design, making the whole device look more refreshing and less ostentatious.

The MSI Shadow 16 Dragon Princess limited edition allows for one-handed screen lifting, with a maximum opening and closing angle of about 135°.

When the body is opened, it is equipped with a 16-inch Glazed Moon screen. In the center of the screen's frame, there is an integrated camera, and beside it, there is a physical anti-peeping switch, along with a microphone opening. The resolution is 2560×1600 (2.5K), with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a refresh rate of 240Hz. Officially, it claims to cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and has a peak brightness of 500nits.

The keyboard area on side C continues the white theme, featuring a full-size layout with a numeric keypad, and is paired with a large integrated touchpad below. WASD The four function keys and the power button use a semi-transparent keycap design to allow for backlight to shine through. The direction keys are adorned with a pixel-style dot gradient texture, which echoes the personalized design of the limited edition of the Demon Dragon Princess.

The touchpad features a white design that matches the color of the body, with a slightly concave surface. The horizontally extended layout also makes the entire palm rest area appear more spacious.

In terms of body dimensions, the MSI Ghost 16 Dragon Princess Limited Edition has a thickness of approximately 21.95–23.85mm and a weight of about 2.25kg. Compared to the previous generation, the new mold has significantly reduced the volume, and combined with the white body, it looks much more lightweight than traditional bulky gaming laptops.

In terms of interface layout, the MSI Shadow 16 Dragon Princess Limited Edition has interfaces distributed on both sides of the body and at the back. On the left side of the body, there is a lock hole, a power interface, as well as two USB-C interfaces, all of which support up to 10Gbps data transfer, and also support 100W PD power supply and DP 1.4 video output.

On the right side of the body, there is a 3.5mm combo audio port, as well as two USB-A ports that support a transmission rate of 5Gbps. On the back, there are a RJ45 wired network port, a HDMI 2.1 audio port, a FRL port, and a 5Gbps USB-A port. This layout covers various usage scenarios such as gaming, connecting external monitors, and common USB peripherals.

In addition, the power adapter that comes with the machine has an output power of 240W, with specifications of 20V/12A.

Turning to the bottom of the device, the D side also adopts the Nebula White color scheme, but the design language differs from that of the A side. Geometric lines give the bottom a more mechanical appearance, while the red structural element in the upper right corner adds visual contrast.

There are two prominent large air-inlet areas at the bottom, and anti-slip foot pads are distributed around the body and in the middle to provide support for placing on a desk.

The battery capacity of the MSI Shadow 16 Dragon Princess limited edition is 80Wh. In terms of storage, the machine provides two M.2 SSD slots. The Samsung PM9C1b solid-state drive that comes pre-installed has a capacity of 512GB and uses the PCIe 4.0 specification. There is also a reserved M.2 slot next to it that supports the PCIe 5.0 standard.

In terms of performance, the MSI Shadow 16 Dragon Princess Interstellar kit maintains the same core configuration as the previous Ryzen version: it is equipped with a AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, with a full power consumption of 115W. The total power consumption of the system during dual stress tests can reach 190W. It is also equipped with a cooling system that uses dual fans, five heat pipes, and a four-ventilation layout, covering the two main heat sources: CPU and GPU.
