Morgan Stanley says the adjustment in the U.S. stock market may end after the mid-term elections; S&P 500 target for the end of the year remains at 8,000 pointsMichael Wilson, Morgan Stanley's chief U.S. equity strategist, stated that as uncertainties such as the U.S. mid-term elections, the financing risks of AI infrastructure projects, and the tightening financial environment gradually become clearer, the current adjustment in U.S. stocks is expected to come to an end. The firm expects the S&P 500 index to fall to between 7,100 and 7,200 points, but still maintains a benchmark target of 8,000 points for the end of the year.

Tao Dong: Major Shock in U.S. Stocks, Is This the Arrival of a Bear Market or a Re-shuffle?Tao Dong believes that the bond market has taken the lead in reducing risks associated with the excessive expansion of the AI industry, and now the stock market has begun to re-evaluate the investment returns and profit prospects of AI. This round of adjustments does not necessarily mean the end of the AI story, but companies with high leverage, dependence on continuous financing, and unclear profit prospects face higher risks. The article also points out that the rising yield on French government bonds reflects deeper issues, namely insufficient political enforcement and the risk of debt getting out of control.
