Washington, October 27, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Provider of secure, unified government, legal, and compliance solutions Casepoint today announced the launch of AI Investigator, a new IQ Agent that is part of the Casepoint IQ ™ suite and can be used in Casepoint eDiscovery. This product is aimed at investigators in government agencies and enterprises, and is designed to quickly narrow down a vast amount of documents to find evidence that supports or refutes allegations, allowing investigators to draw conclusions throughout the investigation process without the need for specialized training or technical experts.

The pace of increase in investigative workload has surpassed that of the teams tasked with handling it. The volume of data continues to rise, and evidence is now often scattered across emails, documents, audio, video, mobile phone data, and chat records.

The existing market solutions are not ideal. Forensics tools rely on highly specialized inspectors, who are often difficult to obtain. Analysis platforms exceed the budget of most investigation teams and also depend on scarce technical talents. The eDiscovery platform is typically designed for litigation and comes equipped with a litigation support team by default, which does not meet the actual needs of pre-litigation investigations. As a result, investigators often have to go through each document manually in Outlook or SharePoint, only to discover later that there is no substantial basis for the case, or worse, they may miss key evidence. If the conclusions are drawn too late or incompletely, the reputation of the investigation department can also be damaged.

Casepoint indicates that AI Investigator changes this situation by designing a guided workflow around the actual investigation process. Investigators only need to describe the content of the investigation, and AI Investigator will filter out the most relevant materials, extract key facts, and label each fact with its source document, while also associating the documents with the key investigation topics. Timeline and data visualization tools will present the complete story, allowing investigators to directly write their investigation conclusion reports in the same secure and scalable workspace, without having to manually reconstruct all the content in other tools.

Casepoint Chief Product Officer Pete Feinberg stated: "Investigators should not have to become data scientists in order to do their job well. Nowadays, with the increasing number of cases, investigators often have to wait for inspectors or experts, or read through materials one by one. With the help of AI Investigator, investigators only need to describe the content of their investigations; the system will filter out important information and provide a source for each fact, allowing them to draw their own conclusions. Investigators are skilled at conducting investigations, while AI Investigator is responsible for categorizing and extracting facts, enabling them to focus on the cases themselves."

AI Investigator, together with Relevance Determination Agent and Issue Coding Agent, constitutes the AI foundational capabilities of Casepoint IQ on the unified platform of Casepoint. This product operates within the security boundaries of the platform and utilizes the existing permissions, governance, and access control mechanisms of the customers. It is scalable to handle data at the TB level and is capable of processing audio, video, mobile data, and chat information.

AI Investigator will be officially launched on a full scale in November. For more information or to apply for a demonstration, please visit casepoint.com / iq-agents.
