At the Meridian 2026 conference held in Lisbon, Movantis announced its integration with the Stellar network, incorporating it into the company's multi-track infrastructure. This integration will primarily be used for the USDC settlement of cross-border capital flows between the United States and El Salvador.

Lisbon, Portugal, October 28, 2026 / PRNewswire / — At the annual flagship conference Meridian 2026, Movantis, which provides a unified financial infrastructure platform to help enterprises transfer value across global markets, announced that it has completed integration with the Stellar network.

This collaboration will incorporate the Stellar network as an additional digital settlement channel into the architecture of Movantis. The Stellar network will accelerate the digital settlement process, while Movantis will leverage its connections to regulated local infrastructure and partners to provide liquidity, enable fiat currency conversion when necessary, and handle the final stages of payment distribution.

For Movantis, this integration is part of its broader multi-track strategy. Traditional banking infrastructure, local payment systems, and digital settlement channels each play their role, enabling the platform to have greater flexibility and resilience in different markets. Stellar provides an additional blockchain settlement channel, while Movantis connects this settlement layer with regulated markets and local payment infrastructure.

The first use case of the plan will focus on transferring value from the United States to El Salvador. Movantis indicates that through its regulated subsidiaries, USDC on the Stellar network will be used as the settlement link, with local partners supporting the exchange and the final payment. Since El Salvador is a dollarized economy, it becomes a natural starting point: funds are settled in USDC and paid to the recipients in US dollars, without generating any additional currency exposure during the process.

For businesses and end-users, the blockchain layer will operate in the background. They will continue to use familiar currencies and payment experiences, while the settlement process can run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. Movantis This can reduce the amount of funds that remittance companies and businesses need to pre-pay in this process.

This integration is also designed to be run in reverse mode. Enterprises operating on the Stellar network will be able to reach recipients in Latin America through Movantis, settle payments in stablecoins, and complete local transactions. Remittance companies, fintech firms, and wallet service providers will also be able to access this corridor through the same Movantis interface they already use in other markets.

Movantis Chief Revenue Officer Robert Gatto stated: "Cross-border payments do not require a single winning approach. What they need is infrastructure that can utilize the appropriate method for each stage of the transaction. Stellar provides us with another efficient settlement method, and our job is to ensure that this speed is ultimately converted into dollars that businesses or families in El Salvador can actually use."

Stellar Development Foundation President and Chief Growth Officer Jose Fernandez da Ponte stated: "It took twenty years to establish local partnerships and payment networks, with the aim of making cross-border payments function smoothly across the Americas, which is precisely the foundation that Stellar hoped to support from the beginning of building its network. By integrating the Stellar network as a settlement option, starting with the corridor from the United States to El Salvador, we aim to provide faster and more efficient settlement support for businesses and individuals that rely on these capital flows every day."

Movantis indicates that digital payment channels are new, but cross-border remittances are not. For over 20 years, Movantis has been dealing with the most challenging aspects in some of the most complex markets in the Americas: obtaining licenses, establishing local partnerships, ensuring liquidity, and providing the capability for last-mile payments, thereby enabling cross-border payments to function. Today, its network processes over $60 billion in funds annually, covering more than 200 million transactions and over 90,000 payment points. Stellar has now integrated into this infrastructure as well.

Apart from El Salvador, Movantis expects that this architecture will also support more corporate and consumer capital flows, including those of companies in Europe, Asia, and across Latin America that wish to conduct business in the region through a single integration. The goal is not to replace existing systems, but to add another settlement option to Movantis's multi-track infrastructure through institutional stablecoins. This will enable companies to complete收款, exchange, settlement, and payment in Latin America with just one integration, regardless of whether they use fiat currency or stablecoins.

They are also advised to update their resumes as soon as possible and maintain their professional networks.
