Oracle Corporation ( NYSE : ORCL ) held an Investor Day on October 28th in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the event, Co-CEO Clay Magouryk, Co-CEO Mike Sicilia, and Chief Financial Officer Hilary Maxson presented the company's strategy and answered questions regarding the updated mid-term financial guidance.
Oracle indicates that, leveraging its unique combination of cloud infrastructure, databases, and application software, it expects total revenue to achieve a compound annual growth rate of over 35% during the period from FY26 to FY30, and by FY30, total revenue is expected to reach $225 billion or more. The company has also provided projections for strong profitability and free cash flow generated by its three business models. Following a peak in capital expenditures from FY27 to FY28, capital expenditures are expected to decline in FY29, thereby supporting a positive free cash flow of at least $30 billion from FY29.
Oracle promises that during the investment period from FY27 to FY30, new financing from capital markets will be limited to $20 billion, with an estimated $10 billion coming from equity and $10 billion from total debt. The aforementioned additional financing needs do not include refinancing of existing debt. This arrangement was made after the company completed $2 billion in on-exchange equity financing in the first quarter of the 2027 fiscal year. The company stated that supplier financing, hardware provided by customers, and customer prepayments are expected to reduce the initial cash requirements during the transition to positive free cash flow.
Oracle reiterates its outlook for the fiscal year 2027: total revenue of at least $90 billion and non-GAAP earnings per share of $8.10. The company stated that its capital allocation priorities remain to maintain an investment-grade credit rating, pay dividends, and provide funding for growth opportunities.
Investor day presentation materials and webcast replays will be published on Oracle's Investor Day website.
Note:Net debt includes borrowings, supplier financing, as well as operating and finance lease liabilities, less cash and marketable securities. The adjusted EBITDA is based on non-GAAP results disclosed by Oracle, and depreciation and operating lease expenses are added back in.
