Rousselan, New Jersey, October 27th / PRNewswire / -- According to the weekly update of the ADP National Employment Report ( NER ), in the four weeks up to October 10, 2026, private sector employers in the United States added an average of 16,750 new jobs per week.
The recruitment growth rate has slowed down for the second consecutive week. The above data is a preliminary estimate, and as new data becomes available, the results may change.

NER Pulse is based on a four-week moving average to estimate the month-over-month changes in employment. The related estimates are derived from ADP, which is high-frequency data that has been carefully calibrated. The data is seasonally adjusted and a two-week lag is applied to provide a more complete and accurate estimation of real-time employment trends.
NER Pulse contains 12 weeks of historical data and is released every Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. Eastern Time, except for the week when ADP Research releases the monthly national employment report; this monthly report is based on a reference week that includes the 12th day of that month. The press release is issued on ADP Media Center at 8:15 a.m. Eastern Time every Tuesday. NER Pulse will also go live on ADP Research and Main Street Macro shortly after 8:15 a.m. Eastern Time on the release day.
The next issue of NER Pulse will be released on November 10, 2026. For the upcoming release dates, please refer to the calendar on the NER website.
ADP National Employment Report and NER Pulse are compiled in collaboration between ADP Research and the Stanford Digital Economy Lab.
