Jio Platforms Stock Price Rises, Three Brokerages Give Buy Ratings
On October 29, 2026, the stock price of Jio Platforms rose by nearly 5%, reaching 1490 Indian rupees at one point during the trading session, continuing its upward trend since its listing.
The stock was listed on October 28th at 1358 Indian Rupees, which is 21.36% higher than the issue price of 1119 Indian Rupees for IPO.
Motilal Oswal, Nomura (Nomura), and Elara Capital have begun to overweight Jio Platforms and have given it a 'buy' rating. The target prices set by the three institutions are 1350 Indian Rupees, 1340 Indian Rupees, and 1367 Indian Rupees respectively.
These securities firms expect that increased fees, customer growth, expansion of home broadband services, and digital services will support the company's financial performance.
Nomura also expects that lower 5G capital expenditures will improve free cash flow; Elara predicts that Jio Platforms's annual revenue growth rate will reach 13% between fiscal years 2026 and 2029.
On Thursday morning, Jio Platforms's market value exceeded 13.5 trillion Indian rupees, making it India's second-largest listed company after Reliance Industries.
