IT News on November 3rd: According to previous reports by The Information, Meta has recently collaborated with a Chinese company, Fourier (Fourier), to develop a humanoid robot prototype named Max.
According to the introduction, it took three months to develop this robot, which is nearly 5 feet tall (Note from IT: about 1.5 meters) and weighs about 106 pounds (about 48.1 kilograms). It is equipped with a NVIDIA Thor chip. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, regards this humanoid robot as the "physical embodiment" of the Muse artificial intelligence model and believes that it can handle daily household chores.
Reports indicate that the two companies began the development of prototypes for Max in September of this year. The new robots are expected to have their torso parts redesigned, along with other routine upgrades. As for Meta, no firm launch date has been set yet, and there are no plans to sell prototype units for the time being.
In response to this, a spokesperson for Meta told The Information: "We face the same reality as other sectors in the industry, which involves purchasing components that are difficult to obtain domestically in the United States. However, the focus of this collaboration with Fourier is on internal research and experimentation; we have no plans to sell these robots."

According to Yicai News, Gu Jie, the founder of Fourier and CEO, stated that it is not convenient to respond at this time.
