The award-winning OMVI X16 PoE combines panoramic vision, long-distance 4K zoom, and 360-degree unlimited rotation all without the need for a subscription.

Los Angeles, November 3, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Global smart home security brand Reolink today released the award-winning OMVI X16 PoE, which is the flagship product of its OMVI series. This product is designed for larger properties and high-security environments, aiming to provide a panoramic view while clearly presenting details in the distance.

OMVI X16 PoE has further improved in performance, featuring a three-lens system with a total of 24MP: one 16-megapixel dual-lens panoramic gun-type camera that can stitch two images into a single 180-degree ultra-wide-angle view; it is also equipped with a 4K (8-megapixel) pan-tilt zoom camera that supports 16x optical zoom. This PTZ pan-tilt system supports 360-degree high-speed continuous rotation and 95-degree vertical pitch, enabling wider coverage and more intuitive tracking.

Reolink, the North American marketing director, Annie Potter stated: "In the field of security, it is equally important to see the big picture as well as to notice the details. OMVI X16 PoE combines these two capabilities to provide families and businesses with enhanced visibility and a greater sense of control over their surroundings. Moreover, since it supports local storage and there are no mandatory subscription fees, users have more control over their own security and video recordings."

The main functions of OMVI X16 PoE include:

  • Panoramic coverage: A 16-megapixel dual-lens panoramic camera provides a continuous 180-degree field of view.
  • True 16x optical zoom: The F1.6 zoom lens, with a range of 5.3 to 86 millimeters, allows for up to 16x zoom while maintaining 4K resolution, making it convenient for identifying faces and license plates from a distance.
  • Unlimited rotation and wide range of pitch: 360-degree high-speed unlimited rotation and 95-degree pitch, allowing users to follow any activities around the property without the need for mechanical stops.

Tracking and Control

  • SyncTrack with optical zoom: When the panoramic camera detects people, vehicles, or animals, the pan-tilt lens will automatically lock on and follow the target, even if the target moves out of the panoramic field of view. During the tracking process, the optical zoom will magnify the target in real-time while keeping it centered.
  • Precise positioning and continuous scanning: By clicking or tapping on any location on a dual-screen display, the pan-tilt camera will immediately turn towards that spot for a closer view. A single tap initiates a continuous 360° rotation, which continues until another tap is made to stop it, facilitating quick inspection of the surrounding environment.
  • preset points and patrol routes: Users can save up to 64 preset points and set one patrol route with a maximum of 16 points each. It is possible to customize the stop times, pan-tilt speed, and schedule. Whenever the camera pauses at a patrol point, automatic tracking can be initiated.

Onboard AI

  • Person and object detection: The onboard AI can recognize humans, vehicles, and animals, allowing reminders to be more focused on truly important activities.
  • Local AI video search: Users do not need to watch the recordings segment by segment; they can simply enter natural language descriptions such as "black van" or "person wearing a hat" to find matching clips within the recorded events, without any additional cost.
  • Perimeter Protection: On the panoramic camera, alerts for crossing lines, regional intrusion, and prolonged lingering in designated areas can notify users when someone crosses the set boundaries, enters a specified area, or stays there for too long.

Designed for 24/7 protection

  • Day and night visibility: The built-in supplementary lighting can be activated to enable full-color night vision as scheduled, and it also supports infrared night vision.
  • Two-way voice and flexible installation: Users can make calls via the app with the camera. The IP66 level weather-resistant metal casing supports wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted, and corner-mounted installations.

From today onwards, this product can be purchased on Amazon in the United States and at Reolink.com. The price is $679.99. For more information, please visit Reolink.com.
