Goldman Sachs stated that the results of the mid-term elections in the United States mark a "blue tsunami" that could have a significant impact on regulations regarding artificial intelligence and data centers. Goldman Sachs strategists believe that after the Democrats won far more seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate than expected, they may seek policy concessions during the upcoming fiscal deadline, including limiting the Iran war, repealing some tariffs, and reversing recently implemented spending cuts. Goldman Sachs also believes that the Democratic victories at the state and local levels will have a significant impact on regulations for artificial intelligence and data centers, but expects the importance of these issues to diminish in the future.

Goldman Sachs stated that the results of the mid-term elections in the United States mark a "blue tsunami," which could have a significant impact on the regulation of artificial intelligence and data centers.

"Since the Democrats have won far more seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate than expected, we anticipate that they will use the upcoming fiscal deadline to seek policy concessions, particularly to limit the war with Iran, remove some tariffs, and reverse the recently implemented spending cuts," said strategists at Goldman Sachs, including Jenny Greenberg.

Consistent with this view, the oil risk premium has already declined.

Nevertheless, Goldman Sachs believes that there are downside risks to Middle Eastern oil supply, which could once again drive up risk premiums.

"We also believe that the Democratic Party's victories at the state and local levels will have a significant impact on artificial intelligence and data center regulation, and our analysts think this could have a negative effect on some American utility companies/independent power producers ( IPP )."

However, Goldman Sachs expects that the importance of data center issues will "weaken" in the future, and any temporary suspension of development at these centers will be short-lived.

Under the upsurge of external licensing of innovative drugs: The speed dividend is fading, and the battle for pricing power has become a new focus
In the first three quarters of this year, the total value of foreign licensing transactions for Chinese innovative drugs reached $130 billion, approaching last year's historical peak of $135.7 billion. However, behind this booming trade, homogenized competition, insufficient pricing power, and uncertainties in milestone payment fulfillment remain the core challenges faced by Chinese innovative drugs as they seek to enter international markets. Industry insiders believe that the industry is shifting from relying on speed and cost advantages to competing on differentiation, global development capabilities, and the ability to realize value.
