Sasken Selected to Support a Strategic Connectivity Platform Project

This multi-year agreement covers software, hardware, and verification services for the next generation of remote information processing control units.

Bengaluru, India, November 5, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Sasken Technologies Ltd . ( BSE : 532663 ) ( NSE : SASKEN ) Today, we announce that we have reached a multi-year engineering cooperation agreement with the software department of a major European automotive group. Under this project, Sasken will provide software development, system integration, hardware engineering, and verification services to support the development and commercialization of the next-generation telematic control unit ( TCU ) for global vehicle platforms. Sasken stated that this cooperation further solidifies its position as a trusted engineering partner for software-defined connected vehicles.

As the automotive industry accelerates its transition towards software-defined vehicles, in-vehicle telematics platforms have become a critical foundation for connected services, wireless updates, diagnostics, fleet management, network security, and future mobility applications. This project will leverage Sasken's expertise in cellular technology, modem platforms, embedded software, hardware engineering, system validation, and connected mobility solutions to accelerate the preparation and deployment of products in multiple international markets.

This collaboration also reflects Sasken's approach of "from chip to system intelligence," which involves integrating silicon platforms, connectivity technologies, embedded systems, hardware design, and large-scale verification capabilities. Sasken states that this end-to-end engineering capability enables the company to provide support to customers at every stage of the process, including platform architecture, hardware development, software integration, testing, and commercial deployment.

This project will require Sasken to collaborate closely with the client's engineering team in areas such as hardware design, software development, integration, and verification. The common goal of both parties is to deliver a remote information processing solution suitable for mass production, in order to meet the requirements of global automotive projects for performance, quality, and reliability.

Speaking of this collaboration, Sasken Technologies, the person in charge of Finland and EU business, Tero Pernu, stated:

This collaboration demonstrates that customers trust Sasken to have the capability to support complex automotive connectivity projects that encompass hardware, software, and verification. Modern telematics platforms are increasingly becoming the core of the connected car experience, which requires companies to have deep expertise in multiple layers of technology. By combining our automotive engineering capabilities with advanced connectivity and product development experience, we will help to accelerate the delivery of next-generation telematics solutions to global markets. We look forward to establishing a long-term strategic partnership and creating measurable value throughout the entire project lifecycle.

A reliable connection is a key factor in modern in-vehicle services and future travel experiences. Sasken possesses extensive experience in telematics platforms, cellular technology, product engineering, and validation, supporting the development and deployment of the next generation of TCU platforms in global markets. The company expects that this collaboration will play a significant role in advancing advanced connected travel solutions and providing a seamless user experience on a global scale.

Sasken Technologies Chairman, General Manager, and Chief Executive Officer Rajiv C. Mody indicates:

The automotive industry is experiencing one of the most significant transformations in its history, with vehicles becoming increasingly connected, intelligent, and software-driven. This strategic partnership highlights the ability of Sasken to assist global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in executing complex product engineering projects that encompass hardware, software, and connectivity. At the same time, it also strengthens our position as the preferred partner for innovative connected mobility solutions and solidifies our long-term growth strategy in the automotive sector.

This project will be organized and implemented through the global engineering organization of Sasken, leveraging its professional experience in the European automotive industry as well as the company's broader product engineering capabilities.
