Wilmington, Delaware, November 5th / PRNewswire / -- Financial technology company GradBridge, which specializes in "secondary review" of private student loans, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at its new headquarters in Newark Iron Hill Corporate Center to celebrate its official launch. Attendees included state and local leaders, business representatives, community leaders, as well as members of the GradBridge team.
The launch of this headquarters, located at 750 Prides Crossing and covering an area of 9,321 square feet, marks an important step for this financial technology company that was born in Delaware and is supported by venture capital. GradBridge launched its first private student loan platform of its kind in March 2026. In June of this year, the company announced plans to create 49 new full-time, salaried positions with benefits over the next five years in order to expand its business and help more students overcome financial obstacles in completing their education. The company has recently added 9 new full-time employees, bringing the total team size to 19, including 6 contract workers.

Delaware Secretary of State Charuni Patibanda - Sanchez stated: "Delaware has long been known for its leading position in the financial services industry, and this launch event further promotes our innovative economy and attracts investment in fintech. The choice by GradBridge to establish and expand its headquarters here reflects the business environment we have created, as well as the confidence companies have in Delaware as a place for innovation, investment, and the creation of high-quality jobs."
GradBridge team members, their families, advisors, and investors also attended the event. During the event, GradBridge founder and CEO Jen O ' Donald, the administrative head of Xinchengbao County Marcus Henry, and GradBridge board member Paul Thome delivered speeches one after another. After the ceremony, guests visited the new headquarters and participated in the Open Day activities.
New Castle County Executive Marcus Henry represents: "Every student should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams, and financial circumstances should not be the only obstacle." GradBridge recognized this need and built their business around helping to solve this problem. This is precisely the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship that we hope to see in New Castle County. We are delighted to welcome their team and look forward to seeing them grow here.
GradBridge, the founder and CEO, Jen O, said: "Less than two years ago, GradBridge was just an idea. Since then, we have turned this vision into reality by launching an innovative lending platform, building a talented team, and now we have also opened a new headquarters. I myself received my education in Delaware and have worked in the state's financial services industry for over 25 years. Therefore, I am particularly proud to be able to build a company that creates meaningful career opportunities, contributes to Delaware's growing fintech community, and helps students across the United States achieve their educational goals."
GradBridge was founded by senior executives in the student loan industry, aiming to fill an important gap in higher education financing. Each year, over 1 million students are denied private student loans due to slight non-compliance with traditional credit approval criteria. GradBridge's "second review" loan approach takes into account academic progress in addition to traditional credit factors, helping to identify qualified borrowers among senior undergraduates and graduate students who show great potential in completing their studies.
O' Donald added, "At GradBridge, we believe that students who are making progress towards their degrees deserve meaningful opportunities to complete their education. Our new headquarters lays a solid foundation for the next phase of growth, and we are grateful to Governor Meyer, County Administrator Marcus Henry of New Castle, Delaware Prosperity Partnership, and the many partners who have supported us along the way. This celebration is not just about the opening of our offices; it is also about building a company that creates opportunities for our employees, the community, and the students we serve."
