Sui has confirmed that its integration with Samsung Wallet's USDC stablecoin will be available to eligible Galaxy users in the United States later in November, adding another blockchain network to Samsung's continuously expanding digital payment services.
- Sui confirms that its blockchain-based USDC will be made available to eligible Galaxy users in the United States through Samsung Wallet later in November.
- Theoretically, this integration can cover approximately 82 million compatible Galaxy devices. Users will not need to install a separate cryptocurrency wallet to transfer USDC.
- Supported USDC transfers will not require users to hold SUI tokens to pay for network fees. Samsung Wallet will provide an interface for accessing this service.
- Samsung Wallet launched a stablecoin service based on USDC on November 2nd, ahead of the planned integration with Sui.
- Samsung is also exploring further support for stablecoins, including potential Korean won-based stablecoins, but this depends on South Korea's regulatory framework.
In a statement on November 5th, Sui indicated that users will soon be able to access their USDC on the blockchain through the Samsung Wallet. The Samsung Wallet currently supports payment cards, digital keys, and boarding passes.
Chinese accounts on this network indicate that this integration can theoretically cover approximately 82 million compatible Galaxy devices in the United States. Users do not need to install a separate cryptocurrency wallet, nor do they need to hold SUI tokens to pay network fees, in order to transfer USDC.
The latest announcement was made on October 8th, following the initial disclosure of the collaboration. At that time, Samsung listed Sui and Solana as its blockchain infrastructure partners together.
Subsequently, Samsung launched its Stablecoin Account stablecoin account service, which supports USDC based on Solana, and it was officially launched on November 2nd. The integration of Sui is expected to follow later this month.
Integration with Samsung Wallet will support USDC transfers without the need for Gas.
According to this arrangement, eligible users will be able to directly hold and send USDC on the Sui chain through Samsung Wallet, while blockchain transactions will be processed behind the mobile applications that these users are familiar with.
This feature utilizes the Sui stablecoin transfer infrastructure that is exempt from Gas. This infrastructure was launched on the mainnet in May 2026.
According to Sui Foundation, the senders of the supported USDC trading pairs do not charge network fees, and users also do not need to purchase SUI in advance.
This difference is very important to the way services operate. On most blockchain networks, users usually need to hold native cryptocurrencies to pay transaction fees, even when transferring stablecoins that are pegged to the US dollar.
The infrastructure of Sui has removed this requirement from supported transfers, while Samsung Wallet provides users with an interface to access that service.
In the initial stages of launch, the SUI token itself will not be supported in the Samsung wallet; this integration is initially limited to USDC.
Mysten Labs, co-founder and chief product officer, Adeniyi Abiodun, stated in a statement in October that Samsung will provide the payment infrastructure for Sui through a service that Galaxy users are already familiar with.
Abiodun means that 'Samsung delivers USDC on Sui to users in the United States Galaxy, while Sui provides the underlying network, making this critical economic activity seamless, fast, and available 24/7 throughout the day and night.'
Sui indicates that since August 2025, its blockchain has processed over one trillion US dollars in stablecoin transfers. This growth occurred after the launch of the native USDC in 2024 and the subsequent integration with the Circle cross-chain transfer protocol ( Cross - Chain Transfer Protocol ).
Samsung Wallet has launched USDC transfer based on Solana.
Samsung's stablecoin service began operations on November 2nd through Solana, allowing eligible Galaxy users in the United States to purchase, hold, send, and receive USDC within their existing wallet applications.
According to the update released by Solana Foundation on November 5th, customers can transfer funds to other Samsung Wallet users, compatible external cryptocurrency wallets, and eligible bank accounts.
This service supports international transfers to eligible bank accounts in over 60 countries, and recipients can receive payments in their local currency.
For transfers between supported wallets, Samsung does not charge a transfer fee, but the receiving service provider may charge a fee. Bank transfers, on the other hand, will incur fees based on the destination and the amount of the transaction.
This service is available to U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older and require the use of a Galaxy device that is compatible and running version 13 or higher of Android. However, residents of New York State are excluded from this requirement. Users must complete account registration, identity verification, and biometric authentication.
As previously reported by crypto.news, Samsung has chosen Bastion to provide regulated stablecoin accounts and payment infrastructure, while Coinbase acts as a secondary custodian through Coinbase Prime Vault.
Samsung itself does not manage customer funds, nor does it operate as a bank.
Samsung Electronics Executive Vice President and Head of the Digital Wallet Team, Woncheol Chai, stated that the company hopes customers will be able to use stablecoins for transfers without having to deal with the complexity of traditional cryptocurrency applications.
In Samsung's announcement in October, Chai stated: "Stablecoins have the potential to make global capital flows faster and easier."
Samsung considers further expanding its stablecoin services
In addition to its initial launch in the United States, Samsung is also exploring more use cases for stablecoins.
On November 5th, Samsung Global Research Executive Director Park Hyun - soo stated that if South Korea introduces an appropriate regulatory framework, stablecoins denominated in Korean won could eventually be made available through Samsung Wallet as well.
Park regards the company's existing US stablecoin services as a potential model for adoption within South Korea, while also expressing concerns about the possible impacts of widespread use of stablecoins on bank deposits, loans, and monetary policy.
Samsung has also separately discussed the possibility of supporting stablecoin payments in both online and offline stores in the future, including transactions initiated through light touches on devices compatible with Galaxy.
The company stated that expanding into more markets will depend on local regulatory requirements.
