I just found out today that Coldcard only has five employees. For such an important job, that's ridiculously small. Would you put your life savings in a Canadian bank with only five employees? Perhaps companies of this size are common in the cryptocurrency space, but to me, it's definitely a red flag. That's why Coinbase and Ledger make more sense and are more worthwhile to pay their high transaction fees. Of course, the advantage of ETFs is that they offer the security of large, professional, and regulated companies while enjoying extremely low fees.

I'll respond to some posts I've seen on my timeline. What you see below is a $10 USDG purchase to test the success of our integration of Varo tokens into Rialto. What happened yesterday: - We were testing the website in a staging environment but were unaware that our domain was being tracked. At the time, we were testing the product to ensure it was ready to launch. - Someone found the website and issued 8-10 tokens within a short period. We immediately shut down the website after discovering this. We originally planned to deploy a new contract, but deploying a new contract would wipe out user-invested funds, so we kept the existing contract. - Initially, the website used Uniswap, but our goal was to integrate with the Rialto router for token swapping, thus supporting any input token and any output token. - To do this, we had to add Varo tokens to the Rialto router's whitelist. After the integration was complete, I purchased $10 worth of PLTS for testing to ensure the Rialto router integration worked correctly before the official launch. - Due to the test site breach, we worked overtime and restored the site to operation on the same day, resuming trading for all users who purchased tokens during the breach. I've attached screenshots of buy and sell records for various other tokens in the same wallet, executed before we integrated these types of tokens into the router. These include Uni v4 tokens (which we just launched supporting yesterday) and CASHCAT, executed when we launched trading for all Uni v3 tokens. Our team's personal information was compromised, and we've spent nearly a year building @rialto_xyz. Our goal is to build the best on-chain trading suite for EVM: aggregators, propAMM, launch platforms, and more, with more features to be released in the future.

A few thoughts on the Coldcard security incident (in no particular order): 1. This is devastating for many. Their hard-earned wealth has vanished in a way most people never expected. Not everyone is a tech genius, but almost everyone just wanted to create a better life for themselves and their families. I feel sorry for these people and their current situation. 2. I personally lost Bitcoin in the past, and it wasn't a pleasant experience. The only lesson I can offer to those going through the same thing is: you can't change the past. Don't waste a lot of time dwelling on the past; instead, focus on planning for the future. You can only control your actions and reactions, so focus on becoming stronger. 3. It's inevitable that people will attack Coldcard investors or podcasters promoting the product, but this anger is pointless and unhelpful. I witnessed this firsthand in the BlockFi incident. Even though I wasn't involved in the company's operations, people still wanted to find a scapegoat, so they targeted those who were most easily accessible. For those who are angry, please don't waste time attacking innocent people. For those who will suffer unjust attacks, remember that everything will pass. 4. This incident highlights the difficulty of self-governance. I firmly believe that individuals have true sovereignty over their assets. This is one of Bitcoin's core value propositions. But we must also recognize that self-governance is a technically very complex topic, and not everyone is capable of it. Better education and more advanced technology may bridge this gap in the future. 5. Mainstream media haven't reported on this yet, but I believe they will sooner or later. They can't resist the cliché of "Bitcoin has been hacked!" Obviously, Bitcoin wasn't hacked, and the protocol doesn't have any known security vulnerabilities. This is entirely a third-party issue. But this doesn't stop the spread of misinformation, so refuting misinformation with facts is crucial. 6. The current sentiment in the Bitcoin industry is very bad. This is normal in a bear market, so it's not surprising. But a security incident like this only adds fuel to the fire. Anger, infighting, and pointless arguments will intensify. If this is your first time experiencing something like this, welcome to this arena. If you've experienced this before, you know that this negativity will eventually dissipate, and the sun will shine again within the next 12-18 months. 7. The accelerated development of artificial intelligence technology has very real implications. I'm not sure if AI was involved in this hack, but if it was, I wouldn't be surprised. Every developer should take this new technology seriously and consider how to strengthen security measures accordingly. 8. The Bitcoin community is as resilient as the network itself. Over the years, we've experienced countless crazy and painful moments. This incident is just one of them. The only way out is to get through the fire. Conclusion

The Bitcoin Clarity Bill is doomed. The people in Congress are so discordant right now. The probability of it passing in August has been decreasing. We can see the market is slightly bearish. Everyone knows the Clarity Bill is a long-term major boon for Bitcoin. It's fueled by this liquidity surge to revive the bull market. Some say it will be restarted in November, but that's still uncertain. If it's delayed until next year, the start of the bull market will also be delayed. This is outrageous, so unfair, so inhumane. If it really doesn't pass, then I can only hope that the market correction in September or October will be complete and DeFi can have an independent rally. 🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump was just hours away from striking Iran's energy infrastructure, but a deal may have pulled the world back from the brink. Pravin Sani, one of India's most respected defense analysts, analyzed what happened last night with me: Just hours after Qatar brokered a compromise on the Strait of Hormuz, Trump issued a "ready" statement. The deal allows ships to enter the Strait of Hormuz through Iranian territorial waters and exit through Omani waters. This arrangement allows Iran to effectively control ships entering and leaving the strait without completely blocking it. As Sani predicted, Iran denied the reports: "The Iranians always deny good news before an agreement is signed. They don't want to appease the markets; they want to continue putting pressure on Trump." But whatever the agreement, the US lacks sufficient military strength. Israel's integrated air defense system already has a limited number of destroyers, and its missiles and interceptors are severely worn out. So, what does Iran actually want? It's not just about the cost of the Strait of Hormuz, but about the complete withdrawal of US troops from the Middle East. This is precisely what Article 4 of the Memorandum of Understanding stipulates: withdrawal within 30 days of a final agreement. "Trump should stop making public threats and instead engage in serious closed-door negotiations; that's the only way to find a solution."
