According to CoinMeta, a British man successfully recovered bitcoins worth approximately $4.5 million more than ten years after believing he had lost them. He invested just £1,500 in 2011 when the price of bitcoin was below $4 per coin; since then, the exchange in question Intersango went bankrupt. Lawyers have now traced a wallet holding over 5,500 bitcoins, valued at around $421 million, which could open the door for other former users to recover their lost bitcoins as well.
