According to CoinMeta, Wu said that on September 7, the Polish National Prosecution Service announced that in its investigation into the cryptocurrency exchange ZondaCrypto, the prosecution had completed the interrogation of Roman Ż., who was detained on September 5. Ż. was accused of participating in an organized crime group, as well as jointly embezzling funds from exchange users and manipulating computer data, with the amount involved being no less than 7.8 million zloty (about 2.1 million US dollars). Roman Ż. denied the allegations and made a statement. The prosecution believes that there is a high likelihood of his involvement in the crimes, and there is a risk of collusive testimony and potential for escape. They have applied to the Eastern District Court of Katowice for temporary detention measures against him, with the maximum penalty for the charges being 10 years in prison.
