New Han Investment Securities: Suggest expanding asset allocation to 2% in digital assets
2026-09-08 14:24:53
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Yonhap News, Park Woo - yeol, the chief researcher at Shinhan Investment Securities, stated that with stocks and bonds experiencing increasingly frequent co-directional fluctuations in recent years, the traditional asset allocation strategy of 60% in stocks and 40% in bonds has become less effective in diversifying risks. He suggested expanding the portfolio to include 8% in alternative assets and 2% in digital assets. He pointed out that Shinhan Investment Securities began recommending a 2% allocation to digital assets this year, based on backtesting where 10% of the alternative assets were allocated between gold and Bitcoin, resulting in a relatively better risk-adjusted performance with a 8:2 ratio of gold to BTC.
