According to CoinMeta, during the White House summit, Trump proposed to directly pay “dividends” to residents living near data centers in order to share the benefits brought by the construction of AI infrastructure. He stated, “People will benefit directly, whether it’s teachers receiving bonuses or community members getting dividends.” Trump also rechristened artificial intelligence as “super intelligence” and announced the launch of a AI-driven federal services portal called america.gov. This meeting included technology leaders such as Jeff Bezos, Jensen Huang, Greg Brockman, Dario Amodei, Satya Nadella, Elon Musk, Nishesh Arola, and Brad Gerstner. Similar dividend proposals have also been put forward by other legislators to address local opposition to data center projects.
