According to CoinMeta, based on the monitoring by Elliptic, North Korea has seen approximately $1.2 billion in funds stolen this year, with over 50 security incidents related to North Korea having been tracked. Some of the funds stolen from Bitget overlap with the addresses involved in last year's $1.5 billion theft from a certain exchange. Preliminary analysis of on-chain money laundering patterns indicates that this latest Bitget incident was carried out by the hacker group Tradertraitor.
