According to CoinMeta, Ford Motor Company plans to help train the 1.7 million technical workers needed in the United States each year. According to Ford CEO Jim Farley, it is estimated that by 2030, there will be 2.1 million technical worker positions in the U.S. that may not be filled. In July, Ford, together with Blackstone, Google, and Carhartt, established the "American Technical Workers Alliance" and released the "State of American Technical Workers: A National Report." The report analyzes 124 technical worker occupations and predicts that by 2035, there will be 1.7 million vacant technical worker positions in the U.S. each year, while current training programs can only train 55 workers for every 100 positions. Ford is also collaborating with the Bloomberg Philanthropy Foundation to pilot new automotive technology programs in Detroit public schools and working with Lyft to help SkillsUSA students participate in training and internship programs.
