U.S. core PCE falls short of analysts' expectations
2026-09-30 20:45:52
CoinMeta data: According to DeItaone, in August 2026, the annual growth rate of the US core PCE was 3.0%, lower than the expected 3.3% and also below the range predicted by 51 Bloomberg analysts (3.1%–3.5%). This unexpected outcome was mainly due to adjustments downward from previous months exceeding expectations, rather than just the data for August alone. The monthly core inflation also slowed slightly, recording 0.247%, which is lower than the anticipated 0.27%.
