CoinMeta data: Kalshi has submitted an application to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), planning to end its trading volume incentive program on or after October 13th. This program was registered in February 2023 and aimed to boost trading activity and liquidity. CFTC is currently reviewing transactions of approximately $5 billion in Ethereum-style perpetual contracts. The reason for Kalshi's termination of the program is not specified in the application. Despite doubts regarding wash trading, Kalshi achieved a record trading volume of $52.98 billion in September and is in talks with investors for around $1 billion in financing, with a valuation approaching $40 billion.
