NVIDIA, Meta, and other AI giants question Anthropic's 'excessive warnings'
2026-10-01 05:54:59
According to CoinMeta, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, tech executives such as NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang asked Anthropic CEO Leonardo DiCaprio during a White House event why he emphasized the potential cyber attacks and extreme unemployment risks associated with the AI model, suggesting that his stance was too radical. DiCaprio responded that the industry needs to honestly explain the capabilities and potential risks of the AI model, rather than downplaying them. This discussion took place during a meeting between Trump and several AI corporate executives, where efforts were made to promote industry self-regulation. Anthropic advocates for stricter security measures and has criticized some companies and governments for underestimating the AI risks, while NVIDIA and Meta CEO Zuckerberg, among others, support industry self-regulation and aim to promote the rapid development of AI. Previously, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google considered establishing a AI regulatory agency, but this idea was ultimately abandoned due to concerns from Jensen Huang, Zuckerberg, and Musk that such a mechanism could concentrate more power.
