According to CoinMeta, Verizon CEO Dan Schulman stated at the Ford Pro Accelerate event in Detroit that artificial general intelligence (AGI) is expected to be achieved within the next 6 to 18 months, and claimed that the next decade will witness a tremendous transformation. He pointed out that the current models are the worst we have ever used in our lives, with a leap in model capabilities occurring every two months. Schulman also mentioned that we will enter a "quantum era" in the next two years and predicted that by 2030 or 2035, we will see quite mature humanoid robots. He emphasized that the economic and social impacts of artificial intelligence will arrive at a pace faster than traditional mechanisms, and that businesses and governments need to prepare for the possible challenges.
