CoinMeta Data: OUSD ( Open USD ) was launched on September 23, 2026, on the blockchains supported by Ethereum, Solana, Coinbase Base, and Stripe, aiming to disrupt the economic model of traditional stablecoins. OUSD eliminates minting and burning fees, directly sharing reserve revenues with distribution partners to encourage their adoption. The equity distribution model of OUSD will allocate the majority of equity to partners over the next four to five years, ensuring that they are not only users but also stakeholders. The five founding partners of OUSD include Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe, and Visa; each has received an equal initial stake, with support funds amounting to 1 billion US dollars. OUSD has entered a market worth 300 billion US dollars and faces competition from existing payment networks.
