Coinbase CEO: In a few years, it might be the banks that push for the passage of CLARITY 2.0 in the United States

According to CoinMeta, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated in an interview with The Wolf Of All Streets that in a few years, it might be the banks that push for the passage of “CLARITY 2.0” in the United States. He agrees with the judgment of the former CFTC chairman, Chris Giancarlo, who believes that banks and traditional financial institutions need this bill more than the crypto industry, as they are more constrained by law and act more slowly, yet they still wish to enter the crypto asset custody market. Armstrong also mentioned that this round of CLARITY failed due to lack of lobbying with banks, as banks opposed the stablecoin rewards offered to customers by Coinbase. However, even after the bill did not pass, Coinbase can still continue to issue these rewards, while banks now face greater competitive pressure.
