The total market value of South Korea's virtual asset market has declined by 33% to 58.9 trillion Korean won.

CoinMeta data: According to a report by Yonhap News, data from the Financial Services Commission of South Korea ( FSC ) shows that as of the end of June 2026, the total market value of South Korea's virtual assets market was 58.9 trillion Korean won (about $43.4 billion), a decrease of 33% from 87.2 trillion Korean won six months prior. During the same period, the average daily trading volume dropped from 5.4 trillion Korean won to 3.1 trillion Korean won, and the total amount of Korean won deposits held by traders decreased by 35% to 5.2 trillion Korean won. However, the number of market users increased slightly by 0.4% to about 11.17 million people. As of the end of June, there were 26 virtual asset operators in South Korea, including 17 cryptocurrency exchanges.
