Celsius v. Chainalysis Case Reduced, Only One Surviving Claim
2026-10-01 17:21:26
According to CoinMeta, in the lawsuit between the Celsius network and the Chainalysis network, the vast majority of claims have been dismissed, with only one claim remaining to proceed. A federal judge in the United States rejected most of the claims in the lawsuit filed by the Celsius network against the Chainalysis network, but allowed one allegation to continue. This allegation claims that the Chainalysis assisted internal personnel of the Celsius in violating their fiduciary duties. The judge found that the complaint was sufficient to demonstrate that the Chainalysis was aware that the press release from Celsius in 2020 contained false statements and helped to spread this information. The Celsius filed for bankruptcy in July 2022, resulting in the freezing of approximately $4.7 billion in assets belonging to its customers. This lawsuit is part of its efforts to recover funds for creditors.
