According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin rose by 40% in the third quarter, closing at $83,784.92, surpassing all major assets. Despite billions of dollars flowing into ETF, the industry's reputation has been damaged due to hacker attacks. In the third quarter, there were 247 security incidents involving Crypto, resulting in a total loss of $1.26 billion, and since 2026, the losses have reached $2.68 billion. The 99 incidents in September were the most since February 2025, costing $768.5 million. Nevertheless, institutional investors continue to purchase crypto assets through regulated channels, avoiding DEFI protocols. Certik indicates that security issues remain serious, with insurance coverage dropping to $130.2 million, a 20.2% decrease from last year. At the same time, artificial intelligence also presents new security threats, and it is expected that there will be multiple incidents related to AI agents.
