According to CoinMeta, Drift Foundation has announced that the compensation and redemption process for DFX is now available. Users who suffered losses during the incident on April 1st can claim 1 DFX for every 1 USDT lost. Each DFX corresponds to one claim right, and there are currently about 3.11 million USDT in the pool. The funding sources include a portion of the daily net income from the Velocity protocol, up to 127.5 million USDT in matching funds from Tether, up to 20 million USDT from strategic partners, as well as assets recovered subsequently. DFX can be exchanged for USDT using the formula “Recovery Pool balance ÷ DFX outstanding supply.” The redeemed DFX will be destroyed, and the transactions are irreversible. The compensation window will close at 00:00 on January 1, 2028, and any DFX that has not been claimed by then will also be destroyed.
