According to CoinMeta, Synopsys's stock price rose by 10% after reaching deals with OpenAI and AWS. The company expects its revenue for the 2027 fiscal year to increase by about 15% year-over-year, reaching $11.15 billion, with a non-GAAP operating margin expected to be around 44%. In addition, Synopsys also plans to repurchase approximately $1 billion in shares over the next few months. This transaction strengthens Synopsys's growth story in the AI sector, especially with the new collaboration with OpenAI; both parties will jointly develop GPT-Synopsys, a AI model specifically trained for Synopsys electronic design automation tools. This model is aimed at automating parts of semiconductor design that still require a significant amount of engineering time. Synopsys has also reached a multi-year agreement with Amazon worth over $1 billion, further expanding its role in AWS custom silicon.
