Musk shares this role with Palmer Luckey ( Palmer Luckey ), the founder of Anduril ( Anduril ), and former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich ( Newt Gingrich ). The task of this project is to map out future battlefields, including deep underground areas and the space surrounding the moon. Emil Michael ( Emil Michael ), the Pentagon's chief technology officer, is coordinating this work, and the research results are expected to be announced on January 28, 2027.
