2026-10-02 05:02:51
CoinMeta data: Kora CEO Dickson Nsofor indicates that in the past five years, African enterprises have increasingly turned to stablecoins to address issues such as cross-border payment delays, and the costs of obtaining and settling in US dollars. He pointed out that commercial payments, supplier settlements, and cross-border payments are areas where demand is growing. Nsofor also mentions that stablecoins can provide a US dollar settlement layer for enterprises that face currency conversion challenges, limited access to US dollars, and long international transfer times. According to a report from Chainalysis, Nigeria received over $92.1 billion in value of cryptocurrencies between 2024 and 2025, demonstrating strong digital asset activity in the region.
