According to CoinMeta, the digital asset platform of Fiserv was officially launched on October 1, 2026, marking an important advancement for the company in the field of community bank payment technology. The platform provides white-label infrastructure, with Versabank mainly responsible for coin issuance, custody, and reserve asset management, while Fireblocks provides secure digital asset infrastructure. The first deployment was Roughrider Coin, which is a stablecoin backed by US dollars issued by a bank in North Dakota, intended to serve as a tool for interbank fund transfers. The platform is currently being piloted with over 90 participating banks and credit cooperatives in North Dakota, demonstrating the scalability of stablecoins with the support of banking institutions.
