According to CoinMeta, Fiserv announced the official launch of its digital asset platform, with the first implementation being the US dollar-backed stablecoin Roughrider Coin launched by a bank in North Dakota. VersaBank is responsible for the issuance, custody, and management of reserve assets, while transactions are processed through the Solana blockchain. Roughrider Coin has integrated with Commercial Center's system, benefiting over 90 participating banks and credit cooperatives in North Dakota. The platform also supports applications such as stablecoin cards, cross-border payments, programmable commerce, automated fund management, and tokenized deposits.
