Hyperion DEFI Repurchases 240,124 Ordinary Shares to Pay Off $8.6 Million in Debt

According to CoinMeta, Wu said that DEFI company Hyperion DEFI ( NASDAQ : HYDP ) announced that it has repurchased 240,124 ordinary shares at an average weighted repurchase price of $3.21 per share, amounting to approximately $770,000. At the same time, the company has repaid the entire principal and interest under its loan agreement with Avenue Capital, settling about $8.6 million in historical debt. Part of the repayment funds came from the sale of HYPE. After completing the debt settlement, the company currently has no long-term debts. As of September 30, Hyperion DEFI has approximately 15.4425 million outstanding ordinary shares, holds $14.5 million in cash, cash equivalents, and stablecoins, and also owns 1.85 million HYPE. The company previously announced a stock repurchase plan of up to $20 million in September.
