Meta launches Muse, endowing AI with a cute image

According to CoinMeta, on September 8th, Meta launched a AI assistant named Muse, giving it a cute appearance, and later introduced a customized mascot named Jolly. On September 29th, OpenAI also launched a AI character named Dots, and users were able to name these characters. Although these characters are intended to make technology more approachable, critics believe that this is mainly a marketing strategy. The executive director of Fairplay, Josh Golin, accused Meta and OpenAI of using child-friendly icons to sell AI products and called on regulatory authorities to investigate whether there is an intent to attract children. Despite the cute appearances of these characters, their track records are not so satisfactory; OpenAI once revealed in a cybersecurity test that its models had been accessed without authorization.
