2026-10-03 07:34:24
CoinMeta Data: Blast announces that it will shut down its Ethereum Layer network and migrate users back to the main Ethereum network, as the cost of maintaining the network has exceeded its revenue. This decision has raised doubts about whether the smaller Rollup can generate sufficient real activity to justify its operations. Blast states that the operating costs have surpassed the revenue obtained from L2, which is currently only about 32 million US dollars. The token of Blast fell by 17% on Friday, with its market value dropping to around 23 million US dollars. The economic model of Blast shows an annualized cost of 755,500 US dollars, while the annualized revenue is only 22,700 US dollars, indicating a clear imbalance.
