Amazon executive: Finding FDE talent is very challenging, calling them 'unicorns'

According to CoinMeta, Asa Kalavade, vice president of Amazon Web Services ( AWS ), stated that finding talent for cutting-edge deployment engineers ( FDE ) is very challenging, referring to these professionals as "unicorns." Amazon has invested $1 billion in the FDE field, and Kalavade pointed out that it is not easy to find suitable engineers. She mentioned that FDE is one of the hottest positions in the field of artificial intelligence, and Amazon selects engineers who can get up to speed quickly when building teams. Kalavade also noted that universities and colleges are still developing FDE training programs, and recent applicants have shown an increased familiarity with artificial intelligence. She emphasized that FDE requires not only technical skills but also a customer-oriented mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit.
