According to CoinMeta, Stripe plans to expand its stablecoin card business to over 100 countries by the end of the year and has appointed Henri Stern as the person in charge of stablecoins and crypto services. Stripe's current stablecoin card customers include Kraken, Ramp, and Morse. Last month, approximately $1.2 billion in stablecoins were consumed through these cards, which is three times the amount from the same period last year. Stripe will maintain its focus on stablecoins, which are unrelated to blockchain. Currently, many projects are using USDC; the company is exploring use cases for tokenized deposits and DEFI, but the majority of its efforts are still focused on stablecoins.
