According to CoinMeta, the crypto exchange OKX has secured a new round of financing from Circle, Ripple and the standard Chartered investment department SC Ventures at a valuation of $25 billion, with the specific amount not being disclosed. This financing follows a $200 million investment made by ICE in March at the same valuation. OKX, a global partner of the exchange, stated that the funds will be used to strengthen long-term market infrastructure. The investment from London-based quantitative firm QRT reflects confidence in the long-term growth of digital assets and the 24/7 market. OKXICE LLC is seeking approval to sell tokenized stocks among 63 listed companies in the United States, including NVIDIA, Apple, and Coca-Cola, under an innovation exemption from the Securities and Exchange Commission that allows for the trading of tokenized U.S. stocks on public blockchains for up to five years.
