2026-10-07 19:56:20
According to CoinMeta, the Russian Central Bank has authorized several entities to join the country's newly regulated cryptocurrency market, making them among the first legal digital asset service providers. The inclusion of two major state-owned banks among the approved participants indicates Moscow's intention to implement strict government control over this expanding industry. The central bank has effectively allowed nine organizations to commence cryptocurrency operations under the new regulations of the Russian Federation; four of these are identified as digital currency trading platforms, while five will serve as “digital custodians.” According to the central bank’s announcement, these platforms have been added to their respective registration lists, marking the first entries on both official lists.
