Metallicus CEO: Dogecoin Transaction speed increased by 300 times
2026-10-07 20:48:40
CoinMeta data: Metallicus CEO Marshall Hayner stated that the company has deployed the alpha version of the DogecoinVM payment layer on the mainnet, which has increased the Dogecoin transaction speed by 300 times. Hayner emphasized that this technological advancement is a direct response to the Dogecoin processing capacity improvement challenge posed by billionaires Elon Musk in 2021. The system did not modify the Dogecoin core protocol but built an independent parallel layer on top of the Metal blockchain infrastructure to ensure compatibility with existing wallets and private keys. This mechanism allows users to continue using their current wallets without the need to replace them by locking their original Dogecoin on the mainnet and simultaneously issuing collateral-backed tokens in a 1:1 ratio within the DogecoinVM.
