Stanford neuroscientist Huberman: The arms race in AI is about controlling the brain
2026-10-07 22:00:46
According to CoinMeta, Stanford neuroscientist Andrew Huberman states that the real AI arms race lies in controlling the human brain. He believes that technology companies such as OpenAI, Meta, and Anthropic will eventually transform into biotechnology firms, pursuing ways to non-invasively read and alter brain activity. In his podcast Invest Like the Best, he mentioned that in the future, there may be tools that help people fall asleep, learn, concentrate, or manage stress, and even envisioned devices that can selectively enhance motivation. He predicts that consumer sleep technology will be the starting point of this transformation, with future devices such as eye masks, implants, or bracelets that could directly affect a person's mental state.
